FAQs

Do you do the work yourself?

Yes. Unless there is a task that is outside of my skill set, physical capabilities, or if I don’t have the equipment needed, all work is performed by myself. In the instance there is a task I am unable to accomplish, I will recommend the best qualified tradesperson in the area that I am aware of.

How large is your crew?

I currently work independently. If I need assistance, I do have other contractors I can call on. If the job is too large for just myself (ex. full house repainting, roof repairs, or requires a tighter timeline than I can accommodate), then I have a list of contractors with larger crews that I can recommend.

Do you work for other builders and contractors?

Yes. I work for others as a sub-contractor. While I am content with the working relationships I currently have, feel free to reach out. I am always looking to expand my network.

How do estimates and payments work?

Compensation is calculated either by fixed price or time and material.

  • Fixed price is a total dollar amount, and as long as there is no deviation from the scope of work (SOW) that would require a change order, the price stays the same. Depending on the size of the project, a deposit may be due up front for material with the full amount being paid upon completion.

  • Time and Material consists of an agreed upon day rate, with open book receipts that are turned in before payment. This is generally due on a weekly basis, with copies of receipts sent by email.

Payment accepted by:

  • Cash

  • Checks

  • Zelle

  • Venmo

  • Credit Card (3.5% +$.15 will be added to total for fees)

Are you licensed and insured?

I am currently licensed in the state of Georgia as a Remodeling Contractor and carry a $1M General Liability. I do not carry workers compensation, as I am a owner/operator with no employees or subscontractors.

Scheduling

As of October 2024, I am currently scheduled out two months.

The majority of the projects I am accepting are at a maximum of two week durations. With smaller projects (ranging from 1 to 2 days long) that I fill in between the larger projects.

Please call or send an online form to begin discussion on your project, to see how I can help out.

Social Media

I film and photograph all of my work before, during, and upon completion. This is shared online to help others understand what I can deliver, and to share the process so potential clients have an idea for what to expect. With respect to clients’ privacy, I do not share names or specific locations. For projects completed with other contractors and builders, credit to those businesses can always be easily found either in the video or photo description.

What about your sons?

They’re small now, but I hope that one day they are proud to work with me!
